West Adams District
A vibrant community of art, fashion and culinary delights.
This colorful district is experiencing an influx of new development and adaptive reuse, amplifying opportunities to live, dine and enjoy life in the heart of Los Angeles. Nestled between Culver City and Downtown Los Angeles, West Adams has quickly become one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in the city.

One of the oldest neighborhoods in the city of Los Angeles — with approximately 40% of its buildings built prior to 1939 — West Adams is known for its historic Victorian mansions, Craftsman bungalows, and great cultural presence.
As the decades passed and city traffic patterns changed, the area experienced economic decline, marked by low property values and high crime.
In the early 2000s, redevelopment began. The opening of West Adams High School in 2007 marked a turning point, spurring investment and helping to shift the culture of the neighborhood.
Amid the changing market dynamics, SKR saw the potential of West Adams and became an early investor in its transformation.
Over several years, SKR has committed significant capital to redevelop and transform aging buildings into dynamic locations where people live, work and relax.
